Lake of sand in the fish tank?
So you can take a stone to find bush and boil to click OK for your tank. I understand that some types or stone can change the pH. Well I'm going to Lake Tahoe this weekend and I wonder if I could use the sand from my tank? Bugs Tahoe is the least and things in this altitutde and too cold.
Tahoe becomes more polluted every year – Dang powerboats. And there are several insect larvae that live in it. Of However, the lake is fine sand (assuming it is legal to drink). Simply wash with a little dish soap until clean. Then rinse well until all soap is definitely past. Then, boil it, or pour boiling water over it (not in a plastic container!), Or immersed in a peroxide hydrogen or alcohol for half an hour – that sterilize. Then rinse thoroughly again and let it dry completely. Sounds like a lot of work but not really.
