Stand Up Paddle Board Fishing
Paddling along the shallow water you can see the shadow of the sliding board in the sandy lake bottom. It is not uncommon see fish cruising along near you … Why not seize the moment and cast a line.
I found that the Stand Up Paddle board can be an excellent fishing platform. Where I live, we have hundreds of inland lakes around that are great for exploring and fishing. Some of the great fishing spots are not even accessible from a boat, but with a Paddleboard can slip up in a fishing hole without being noticed. With the high point of view foot paddle boards, you can see that the fish is as far as you can cast. It is almost a perfect situation.
Here is my typical fishing trip Paddleboard. For this example we assume we are fishing for Bass. First I scope out the design of satellite lake in Google Maps. You'd be surprised how many times the characteristics of the lake will unnoticed. Look for dark spots that resemble the "holes" or spots that seem steep slopes around the lake. You will also want to have regardless of time of day you're thinking about fishing. Early morning and dusk are the best times to catch the fish.
When you are ready to reach out into the lake, grab a backpack that has an external side pocket of the drinks have these. Test fit your fishing pole in this bag … Can have to make some small modifications to get him to stay in while rowing. Then put your bait, tackle, and anything you plan to fish with in the bag.
On reaching the lake, the extent of the wind direction. The wind tends to blow hot top water to one side of the lake … in my experiences, fish tend to stay in cooler water. So paddle to a place that looks like it could be a little fish. weed beds or debris underwater can be a good place to start.
Reach behind your head and grab the rod. Get yourself constantly, and casting. You may have to repeat this process several times, but with a bit of skill and luck, you catch a fish.
This is the fun part … the fish will start pulling back. Sometimes, if you have a decent fish at the end of the line, which will really pull everything a bit. "Very funny.
Good luck … and keep rowing!
