How is fishing for bass in Jenks Lake, Southern California?
I would like information from someone who has fished in the lake or know anything about it. I wonder about the serious, in particular. Population, species, size, etc would be very grateful if you helped me.
The secret at Jenks Lake is that this lake has some quality bass. Unlike trout, bass are a resident population. Some of these fish grow in the largest class of fish that feed DFG trout most people catch. There are not much lower than those in the lake and are very cautious, but many smaller under the angler to keep occupied during the search. To guide the bass, try fishing plastic worms and crank baits on the edges of the weeds that grow around the lake during summer. There is a paved road in much of the lake and the pier is wheelchair accessible to put all the fishermen in the middle of the action. The area is frequently visited by bears at night, but are shy and they tend not to bother people. To avoid problems of a bear, do not leave food or belongings unattended and take a big detour if one comes your way. Do not leave food visible in the car. Many serious fall in the range of 2.3 pounds, and even some close to 5 pounds, but very scary.
