How can I find a job on a fishing boat?
My boyfriend is wanting to get a job on a fishing boat …. you know, you go for, as, a week or so at a time or whatever. He learned that they make pretty good money and he loves to fish, so why not, right? I have a HARDTIMES finding out information for him in works such as this. Do not even know where to look, or even what is called these people. Any suggestions? Do not lives in Kansas, actually lives in Florida, about 5 minutes from the beach.
I just did a quick search on Indeed.com for "fishing" (without the quotes) and Florida, and came with 1,000 jobs in a variety of locations. Some seem to need licenses. This is the search results page – http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=fishing&l=florida Craigslist.org is a good place to check, too. Http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/fl Craigslist is a giant online classifieds site, divided by areas. Have 17 Craigslists Florida. Just choose the closest, or visit several. Look through both the "employment" in the list as well as "concerts" (short-term jobs). Craigslist takes a little getting used to, but worth the effort. Job-Hunt.org 's Guide to Using Craigslist to find jobs help – Http://www.job-hunt.org/onlinejobsearchguide/article_guide_to_craigslist.shtml Good luck!
