Getting started with fly fishing?
I really want to get into fly fishing. I spin fish since he left the womb and never put in casting flies. I have zero knowledge. I have no idea of art and not where to begin. I will be attending a beginner class at my shop owner Orvis local and I hope you tell me a ton. I just can not wait for the class in a week. Anyway, any and all info welcome! I need some lists of reeds and reels, lines and other gear I should know about! Thank you!
Hello fellow fisherman. I was in the same boat you are in I met a guy in a stream that i regularly fish and not catch anything on the tails of cock and approached me with a correspondent of the brook trout. I asked him what he was using and said a wet fly.to make a long story short we talked and he convinced me to go for a fly rod. The Knight in the fly shop told me to buy a combo offer price, that way, if you have not i like fly fishing i would not be a lot of money. when I was leaving the store his last words were "the Patience is the key. "I also bought books on how to cast and what fly to use. So the bottom line for me is stick 1.buy economic 2.buy books on how Flyfish (4.use helpful 3.patience floating line and dry flies 5.if you like fly fishing then go buy a decent rod and reel combo. (I have 3 bars and I love Scott, 2-4weights 1-3weight) 6. Tie Your own flies, if desired. i tie my own flies and I love it. 7. making fun thats the main thing I hope I helped, good luck and good fishing. leadwing2.
