What all do Siamensis eat?
I recently purchased 2 4 "Siamese algae-eaters. It seems to be some of the best dining options as a of what they eat algae and compatibility with others in my tank. My question is that there is a large amount of algae in my tank at the time except for some green (sometimes red) algae on the glass. I do not know if they will eat, but they will eat algae wafers and sinking wafers I put in the bottom for some of my other fish? Also I finally get more of them or they will be fine with only 2 of them? Thank you. Oh, almost forgot … I read somewhere that tend to be in the queue when at rest but have not so far after 2 days of having them. I bought them a very good specialty fish store who said they were not flying fox or similar fish are easily confused. They have black as the body that is close to the end of the tail. "Adults tend to just lay on the bottom instead of the tail?
I've never seen the tail of long standing, personally, the most I've seen on the left below. I did not get any more of them get about 10 " long and are territorial. They fight each other for territory and, in fact, be little more ugly brutes to any other fish especially when they are grown. As for food, found that out already, that love food and Munch sinks away with raw vegetables as well. The oldest and largest algae that gets less they eat, food specifically targeted will become a necessity soon if not already.
