
Born 7 June 1975, Allen Iverson is a graduate of Georgetown and currently plays a guard post of the Philadelphia 76ers. He stands 6 'high and weighs 165 pounds. Following their high school years at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia, Allen Iverson was honored for his shirt number retired during the middle time the school from 1993 State Championship ceremony. After high school, Iverson continued his love of basketball came during his years as a schoolboy. During its first year of college, Allen Iverson was named the Big East Rookie of the Year. The following year, during his second season, Iverson was named First Team All-America by The Associated Press. He was named as the Big East Defensive Player of the Year consecutively.
The 1996-1997 season marked Allen Iverson years rookie in the NBA. After establishing himself quickly as a soon-to-be household name early in the season, Iverson became the second youngest player to reach the plateau of 50 points in a single game in NBA history. Were constantly accumulating points for the 76ers in the 1997-1998 season, due in part to the strategies Iverson's game. In 1998-1999, Allen Iverson was named to the All-NBA First Team and continued to highest points scoring game all season.
During the 1999-2000 season, Allen Iverson was selected to the All-NBA Second Team and once again tied his career high of 50 points in a game against Sacramento on February 6, 2000. The following season, dates 2000-2001, was one of the fantastic prizes. Despite an injury that caused it missed 11 games, Allen Iverson started in 71 games and was awarded the Maurice Podoloff Trophy as the MVP of NBAA. As the 76ers advanced to the 2001 NBA playoffs, Allen Iverson was there. With an average of 32.9 points per game, continued to break records and set career-highs for the series of five games.
During the 2005-2006 season in the NBA, Allen Iverson scored his 10th anniversary with a league that made him famous. He is the second player in NBA history who never played for one team for this period time. The only player who has been on a team no longer is Minnesota's Kevin Garnett. After starting in 72 games and averaged 33 points per game, Iverson recorded his 19,000 of life, in a game against Washington.
Like an athlete who believes in giving back to his community, Allen Iverson started the cross on the Foundation and home to the annual Allen Iverson's Celebrity Classic. As part of the Community Program for Aid to the 76ers, Iverson Crossover Â'AIÂ established crew, a 'which is a ticket distribution program that allows youths in the area to attend a Sixers home game in Philadelphia.
