My father and I fished mountain streams throughout my childhood. He grew up fishing Tellico Plains, TN. We have fished around Gatlinburg and above all in Cherokee, North Carolina. We were looking for other good places to go, because for years we went to the Cherokee and the fishing was not too big. We are fly fisherman. We wheel and a little blue jean boys. Thank you very much. We fishing in the Smokies before. They are not as large in the tail waters slowly rolling race. We like the high mountain streams. As I said, Tellico was the place to go when my father was younger, but several years ago, we went and took about an hour before finding a place to stop and fish. Thanks for your information.
