Backpacking in Costa Rica-HELP!?
I have to travel to Costa Rica in mid-July. I am planning a trip of 14 days from flying to San Jose. Looking for an itinerary. I've been doing a lot of Google searches but have not yet decided what to do or where to go. 1) Do not want to miss anything 2) I jam-packed trip adventure (not necessarily crazy adventure) 3) I just want to backpack around and have a good time 4) Go into the desert (perhaps a trip or two, walking?) 5) Spend time on the beach (snorkel) 6) Do some fishing (for the groom) 7) Go to Valcano Arenal (like) I want to stay in hostels if necessary I take a hotel or two while I'm there. I'm on a budget and understand that visitors can become costly. If anyone has any idea where I begin and end my trip, I would listen. Thanks
I stayed on the west coast – east coast is a bit dingy. Definitely check out beaches such as Samara and Montezuma. There are tons of wildness and adventure tour packages in tourist towns like Montezuma that can hook you up for trips elsewhere in the country. Ask other travelers once there, what he did. Have a great time! Costa Rica is impressive.
