what to do if the brakes thermometer in the aquarium fish?
I just realized that my aquarium thermometer is laying on the bottom of my tank broken and I do not know how long its been laying there and one of my oscars are acting strange, what do I do? I do not reach into the cause I could not get poisond please oh shit I need help, how can you tell if you have poisond by murcery
I've never seen nor heard of a thermometer aquarium containing mercury. It's much, much more likely than yours containing an alcohol solution. This would be dangerous to fish if it were a lot of water, but the few drops in a thermometer is likely to cause a problem. Although mercury in human fever thermometers is not a danger of poisoning, because it is the pure form and elemental mercury, and the human body can not absorb. These are chemical compounds containing mercury combined with other elements that poison people (and animals). In both cases (aquarium thermometers and thermometers), the only real danger of broken glass. Collect all the pieces of glass you can find and throw away. Then do change in a 50% water, vacuuming the gravel thoroughly to find broken glass you might have missed before. Then, buy a new thermometer and stop worrying.
