I have a new light new action of water fishing rod / reel?
Does anyone have any recommendations on what Rod / Reel combo to achieve. I will mainly be fishing for trout and bass in lakes and streams.
I would strongly suggest a light action Ugly Stik. I personally Ugly Stik Lite own ultra light 5 'rod. For fishing this is my current choice of cane. In most streams in the neck of the woods is a great amount of shrubs and low tree limbs, so the brevity of the toolbar is very useful when a stream bushwacking. This bar also has plenty of backbone and also has a lot of punishment. I remember once stumble and fall forward and my rod tip interference on the ground. I was sure I was going into bankruptcy and recovered balance, but actually only the tip bent and took the fall. if it was a straight graphite shaft which would have broken for sure. For a rod of all effects, can not beat the line of Ugly Stik rods for the performance and money. Great value. For the reel, I perfer Shimano. I have several. If you are going to do a small amount fishery, then I would go with less expensive reels like Sidestab, or Sonora. If you do a good amount of fish that would go with Solastace, or Symetra. I have three and have never had a problem. They are soft, very well cast and drags are great, even the pious. Just as an example. I was fishing for walleye .. Sidestab I was using (a spool of $ 29.99). I was spinning in my lure and finished hooking a 45 "musky 28 pounds. This musky was lost space to run and he did. My drag was singing like crazy, went in his races, but I managed to get through, and I imagine that if the reels may face $ 30 that, and have no problems, its most expensive things have to be as good or better. In my opinion, you can not go wrong with Shimano. In my humble opinion, if asked in select store basis, combined reliable for the average Joe, I would go with a Utlra Light Ugly Stick Lite 5 to 6 feet long and Sidestab Shimano 1500RE.
