she stood me up! Now what do I do?
We were supposed to meet and hang out after school yesterday (we're both in college). We've only met online (was posted a personal ad), and she said they "definitely" wanted to meet me. She gave me her # and call, said as he left. I got his voicemail, left a message …. nothing. I waited about 35-40 minutes until my bus came. I sent a text message saying: "I guess that I missed you, blah, blah, blah … "And she has not called me or anything. I'm thinking I should let go, and not try to contact her. Is it a good idea? What would you? I am also a very shy man, so I was very nervous going into this (before all that never () occurred). I do not have much of a life welfare to fall back on. I have a few casual friends, not close friends. I know there are many "fish in the sea", but never had a girlfriend at that time (20 years), I guess I need a fishing rod?
I just want to move forward. Nice people do not stop other people and do not want to waste time on someone who does that. No matter what, they deserve better treatment. Do not let that discourage you. There are plenty of good people out there – just be patient and find one. No settle for someone who treats you well. I used to be very shy too, and had few friends. Recently, I've been getting there and done a lot of new friends. It was not as scary as it seemed, and it was worth the effort!
