If you're a smallmouth bass fisherman, you're always looking for more tips right? In this article, I will give you some helpful tips to be more successful and capture more small mouth. Many, but not all, of the advice contained in this article are for those of you who enjoy catching smallmouth bass in the waters rivers and streams. Why? Because I've been using these tips to catch "smallie" out of these types of water for many years and is one of a kind I like fishing a lot. For me there is nothing better than standing in the flowing waters of a small river or stream trying to catch.
Not only that, but for those of you who have not had the pleasure of hooking and landing small mouth, more than three pounds in the present, let me tell you something … as much fun as you can have with your clothes start! These tips will help any angler more successful Smallmouth. Start to use one or all of them sooner rather than later.
Start with the Arts fishing that is used. When using the term gear, I am referring specifically to your rod, reel and line. For these grave there is no need to use bar or coils that are heavier than light action. I prefer ultra light rods and reels, but the light is certainly acceptable. As for his fishing line is concerned, six pounds test should be the maximum. I prefer to use four pound test, but again six pound test is passable. The conclusion is that the light gear and light line should be used when fishing for "smallie" on small rivers and streams.

A live worm rigged on gang hooks and then allowed flow naturally with the current, it is difficult to overcome. I've probably been so successful with this team, as I have with any method of bait presentation.
Then we'll cover the decoys. Any lure that imitates a crayfish is usually a good attraction for these feisty fish. Lures such as Rooster Tails and spoons, cast as teachers usually work very well too. Remember the more realistic it seems the lure under water, the better. This is why lures such as Minnow KickTail are so effective. These lures are incredibly realistic in the water.
Now for some tips for catching small mouth, do you have an efficient and effective measurement of their capture? Used carry a small tape measure with me, but never seemed to be in the place where I thought I left it. That's why I started taking my device measurement of me in my fishing. Now I always know exactly where is my tape measure is when I'm fishing. This saves me a lot of time and energy.
As I said before, use these tips to start over sooner rather than later and your catch rate will increase dramatically. The last advice I have is to always pay attention to the weather and moon, for what you are fishing when fish are most active. As you can guess, when fish are most active, which are much more likely to bite your offer.
