Any good course fishing in Ireland, particularly Louth / Meath areas.?
Everything seems to be game and deep sea fishing here, but strange my carp and roach.
You could try the following locations: Lagos Mentrim Co. Louth Mentrim lakes are located in Ardee – Kells road (N52) approximately 6.5kms from Ardee, Co. Louth. The lakes are signposted and are located on the left side of the road while driving towards Kells. Turn left at the sign and access is via a lane signposted. You will find good parking facilities at the bottom of this lane. The largest lake covering approximately 4 hectares, has developed a high level and there are a number of fisheries located in the east and west coasts and Bankside general access is good. This lake is very deep with a depth 5m. with the southern end of the lake is the shallowest. The lake has good stocks of bream, roach, Rudd, hybrids, tench, perch, pike and eels, with the golden and hybrid sample size (7.5 pounds and 3 pounds, respectively). Food and slider methods can produce good results from this site. Rathbeggan Lakes Co. Meath has a quiet and less than ten minutes from the M50 motorway in Dublin at Tolka River Valley slope. Hope this helps.
