Do you have records K-Tel? K If so what was first-Tel purchase or gift?
K-Tel is a company that began in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in the late 60s by my former boss Philip Kives. Phil finally ventured into other areas such as cook-ware, and household products. Over time American Ron Popeil hired ', which developed wonders as the "Veg-O-Matic" and the "Feather Touch Knife', along with several dice and cutting devices, and quite possibly some of the fishing devices Groovy! But to me they were best known for his price of vinyl LP's, and small paychecks. What are some of his memories of K-Tel record? Well Smiley My first (of many) K-Tel albums complialtion was actually a cassette that had a major impact in turning little old teen pop me in a metal. Because the life of me I can not remember his name but I remember 4 of the songs quite well Run To The Hills by Iron Maiden, Rainbow Street Of Dreams Holy Diver by Dio screams in the night by Krokus My idea of metal before Def Leppard, so it was a revelation.
