Calorie diet for diabetics in India

Diabetes is now very common in India. It has alarmed the whole nation and all Indians should take measures to prevent diabetes. If there is no history of diabetes in the family, it is advisable to have an annual checkup, follow the healthy diet plan and exercise. It is noteworthy that people who are obese have an increased risk of developing diabetes. Thus, in order to prevent diabetes, you should take care of their diet. By reducing calories, do not cut basic food. Plan a balanced diet low in calories. For those who already diabetes, below is a list of foods to include or avoid in your diet.

Breads, cereals,

Includes: bread, roti Chana flour, wheat flour rotis, idlis, corn flakes and skimmed milk fresh juice, cooked rice, wheat flakes, Khichdi, and oats.
Avoid: warm bread, cakes, pastries, candy rolls, parathas, purees, bhathuras, kulcha, biryani pulao.

Vegetables

Include steamed vegetables, raw vegetables, fresh and green.
Avoid: Rich fat curry, fried vegetables, Currie kofta with khoya or nuts.

Fats

Includes: Butter, cream (1-2 table spoons occasionally)
Avoid: pudding, ice cream, cookies, candy and Burfi, Malai RUS, initialed and milk, khoya and sugar preparations, canned fruits, biscuits cream.

Meat, fish, cheese, eggs, chicken

Includes: lean meat, chicken, seafood, fresh fish, or grilled (egg occasionally), fresh ricotta.
Avoid: no high-fat vegetarian curry, fried meat or chicken or fish, butter sauces, Josh Roghan, KEEMA, Korma.

Soup

Includes: soup, vegetable soups made with skim milk and vegetables.
Avoid: thick cream soups

Potato, the fat substitute

Includes: None
Avoid: All

Several

Includes: spices, salt, spices, herbs, spices, tea, coffee, etc., with very little sugar or artificial sweetener.
Avoid: All alcoholic beverages, achars oil, sauces, tomato sauces.
