What is a good bait to use while surf fishing in Florida?
I live in New Jersey, and a trip to Florida and am wondering what are the best bait is to catch any fish in Florida. Also if you have specific primers for specific fish, please let me know. Im Saltwater Fishing! thanks
Squid catches everything and is mom .. that is the problem with squid. If you just want to take something, go with that bait. If you are looking for something better, go with cut sardines. Use the head for better action. The tail end is good too, but they have the scent as much as the head (vital organs are closer to the head). Simply cut in half the hook, the hook and send a "Chest of Davy Jones.;) Make sure you bring the weights right (which I call 'em leads, but who am I to know?), like the pyramids and if you can, the weight of the spider. These hold the sand better. Also, if you can get your hands on some fresh crabs Mole (also known as "sand fleas"), you can do quite well for the day if the permit and Pompano in the area. It is very difficult for me to go into details with you because you really do not mention in Florida, where he was fishing.
