Private ponds in Lancaster PA?
I'm interested in doing some fishing pond in the area of Lancaster, PA. Catch and release. Any suggestions? Are there directories for this sort of thing? specific to private ponds?
No information on private ponds, but I do recommends something good in the area. Silver mine ponds in Conestoga / Millersville area. Silver Mine Road near New Danville Pike. C & R fishing, bluegill and large mouth, including some good sized ones. Ideal for fishing. Conestoga River (very underrated fishing). Smallmouth and black bass, carp, catfish, perch yellow and bulging eyes. Preferred access points include Long Lane / Conestoga Blvd Boy Scout Rd, 324 South Prince County Park Off Duke, S. Conestoga S Broad outside and park outside Landis Valley Road in New Holland. There is a retirement home (Willow Valley Retirement) at 222/741 in Willow Street, which has a couple of ponds with large mouth, and the minnow of bluegill. Used fishing to be open, but I think now he has to get a "permission" of the retirement home, which owns the property. Not sure how easy or difficult it is. Tight lines!
