Does anyone know how to determine the quotas or limits for crab fishing vessels in Deadliest Catch?
Each boat in the fishing season only grab allowed to take a limited amount of crab. It appears that these limits (IFQ's? IPQ's?) Should be a matter of public record. Is there somewhere to go and get them online?
Alaska has a permit system, where permits are issued to people for specific amounts, these people may choose to sell (or lease) of his permit to another person if they decide it is more profitable for them instead of fishing for themselves, because it would difficult to find an exact number that each boat can harvest
