He took a very suspicious and rainy RI waterfront, cast in winds of 30 mph and waves 5 feet, last Saturday. The kids had a constant bait selection of blues and stripers, I could not buy a bite on the top. Switched to Bucktails with a rind of pork for the downward pull. No bites. Felt like the Bucktail was dragging the bottom. What is the best bait in the surf, but maintains enough of the bottom to get a hit?
dude, if you look around and see people catching fish on live bait, why continue with a bait, the use of the head, the fish were in the bottom due to weather, and looking for a cut above, I think bro,,,,
