Basic Tackle for Catfish – Large array of tactics
Catfishing covers a wide range of tactics. The front you need will depend on how you plan to fish. I'm going from simple to the most complex.
If you plan to "noodles" (where legal) for catsfish, just needs some clothes that do not mind getting wet (and I would recommend a good first aid kit and snakebite). 'Noodling' is simply getting in the water and looking for catfish along the banks with a descent where hide in holes in the bank or rocks. When you find one, just grab it (or she catches you) and remove the pit and pull, or drag it to shore. Not as easy as appears. Firstly, a big catfish could hurt you or pull you underwater and hold until you drown. Secondly, all the holes are not always catfish. Water moccasins are fond of the holes, too. If you plan on fishing in the calm waters of the bank, such as small ponds, streams, rivers and lakes, you can get by with a cane or pole synthesis. They work for nothing to a cat-sized channel. For something bigger, you need a more high-tech set up. For all around fishing in this water, is hard to beat combo Spincast a simple action such as the ubiquitous Zebco 33. This will work for the catfish to the rank of 10-20 lb, with proper care. This is the size of the usual upper limit for catfish caught in the bait-prepared dough, Nightcrawlers, grasshoppers, chicken livers, small shrimp and small fish. For the average fisherman, this is the perfect start. Any media with a midsize tower spinning reel also work well.
If that areas with greater frequency catfish, you must use more bait, and this will need to address older.
